Bear Valley Springs offers some of the best equestrian & hiking trails in Southern California! We offer 3 types of maintained trails that stretch over 55 miles for the novice to advanced rider or hiker:
1)There are trails along the road right-of-way that are single track and where there can be vehicular traffic.
2)We have trails in the meadows which are fairly flat to gently rolling and very open so there is good visibility with no vehicular traffic.
3)Single-track back country mountain and canyon trails have stretches that include steep inclines, switch backs, drop-offs into nearby canyons, water crossings, rocky areas, and other natural obstacles. These trails can take you to fantastic views, quiet canyons, and peaceful places, where the challenge of getting there is half the fun!
You can get a better idea of all our trails from our Interactive Trail Map. All Trail Maps are located in the Document Library under Amenity Forms.
Horses have the right of way on trails. Hikers must step aside and let the horse & rider pass. Bicycles or other wheeled conveyances are prohibited on horse trails. Dogs must be on leash on trails. Guests with horses must visit the Equestrian Center with a member prior to riding to fill out a Release of Liability and pay applicable guest fees before entering the trails.
In order to help with trail maintenance the BVSA requires each Trail Scout to sign a Release of Liability form and bring a copy of your current Home Owners Insurance declaration page to the BVS Association Office.
Looking forward to hearing from you, Happy Trails!
