Dear Bear Valley Springs Residents,
This morning, we experienced a large fish die off at 4 Island Lake. Based on the high temperatures and an increase in lake water temperatures, 4 Island Lake has lost its oxygen content which has created the current situation.
Unfortunately, due the cleanup required to remove all the fish from the shoreline, 4 Island Lake will be closed for boating and swimming for today. Mountain View Consulting and our Grounds Maintenance staff will make every effort to re-open the lake as soon as possible.
We will keep you posted as needed with additional information and any further closures after we evaluate the situation throughout the day.
